The Advanced Reader Training is an intimate, year-long Human Design training program that teaches the connective logic and story-focused art of becoming a master Human Design reader.

ART brings together a tight-knit group of Human Design readers and lovers to push past surface-level reading to develop a logical, skills-based method for seeing the bigger picture of someone’s individual design.

The Advanced Reader Training (ART) program is right for you if

  • You are ready to truly master Human Design, to have all the puzzle pieces of information finally come together, to feel a deep, grounded confidence in your knowledge when you’re working with clients.

  • You already know how powerful this system is, and you already know Human Design is going to be a big part of your life. You are committed, curious, and eager to learn in an intimate, collaborative environment with fellow Human Design experts.

  • You are craving support and guidance to share Human Design in your unique voice—authentically, not just regurgitating memorized facts about the system.

Outcomes

By the end of the Advanced Reader Training, you’ll be able to confidently deliver advanced Human Design readings, weaving together your Human Design knowledge in your voice to share the whole story of a client’s design with them.

Pre-requisites

It’s important that you have a masterful understanding of the human design types, authorities, definition, and centers before entering the Advanced Reader Training.

Most clients enter ART having already completed the Nine Centers Mentorship, they’ve been dabbling in Human Design for years or have been self-studying for 6 months or more.

ART is a big commitment. We go deep - with lots of support, as well as time to practice and space to integrate - but this program is not for the faint of heart. It’s a lot of curriculum to cover, and to be successful, you’ll need to carve out time in your schedule to attend (or watch the recording) of all of our live classes. The pace is spacious, and the support is abundant, but it will still require your full participation.

What makes the Advanced Reader Training program different:

DEEP. GROUNDED. COMPREHENSIVE SUPPORTIVE. MASTERFUL.

Human Design is starting to take off and become more mainstream. But it’s growing popularity also means certifications and training programs, with varying degrees of depth, are popping up everywhere - you may have already tried some of them!

We want to support readers who want to go deep.

By now, you’ve experimented with Human Design enough to know that you’re ready to go beyond the weekend certification intro course. You're ready for mastery.

You’re ready to learn from people who have a deep understanding of the system, and how all the individual parts of Human Design fit together into a whole, logical picture.

Human Design is an archetypal system that helps us to make meaning of our human experience, how we move through the world, and how we relate to others. Even though at times Human Design feels mystical or spiritual, it’s actually very logic-based. Every piece matters and every piece fits into the whole.

When you’re mainly learning in a piece-by-piece way from different books, videos and lectures it’s like trying to put a massive puzzle together without knowing anything about the picture you’re creating. You may put a few pieces together but it’s difficult to see where they fit in the whole.

We’ve designed the Advanced Reader Training to give you the big picture, all the pieces you need to truly, deeply master the logic of Human Design.

It’s not about memorizing facts, it’s about learning to really understand a chart and interpret the unique definition in front of you. Anyone can take facts out of a book and create a “reading” and perhaps that reading will be helpful to your clients, but nothing compares to the depth, power and truth of an informed, masterful analysis.

Human Design, at its best, is both science and art. We teach you to do both.

From an ART Alum:

“I so love how you teach Human Design. I don't feel like I can adequately express my gratitude. I've gotten so much insight, and I couldn't have gotten to these realizations without the Advanced Reader Training, and I'm so grateful. I learn so well from lots of data and seeing it played out in real life, and I love the way you weave this in. I feel like I'm slowly consciously leaning into my design the more I learn.

—Mary Stout (they/them), 4/6 Generator

The ART approach

We acknowledge that no education (or Human Design reading, for that matter) is one-size-fits-all. This is exactly why we’ve built a dynamic approach to reader training, both in what we teach and how we teach it.

Over the course of the year, you will meet with experts and peers to build a logic-based understanding of circuitry and the flow of energy through the BodyGraph, develop the skill of seeing the whole picture of the chart in front of you, and refine your personalized approach (with your unique voice!) to reading Human Design bodygraphs.

Because Human Design is such a deep, rich, logic-based system with so many layers and so much nuance, we believe the best training happens over time with ample opportunities for practice.

Included in the Advanced Reader Training:

WEEKLY LIVE TRAININGS

Weekly live trainings are the mainstay of A.R.T. Instead of following pre-recorded modules, or reading through a dense PDF, our program is built on weekly live calls that use stories, lessons, case studies, practice readings, and peer conversations to dive into the intricacies of Human Design.

EXPERT INSIGHT

As the current go-to HD expert for your friends, family, and current clients, there is something deeply refreshing about once again becoming the student (and being the one asking questions, instead of being the one people ask their questions to, for a change).

ONLINE COMMUNITY

Nope, not another Facebook group. :) A.R.T. provides you with an incredibly uplifting cohort of your peers to lean on, practice with, and connect with throughout the duration of the program.

HANDS-ON PRACTICE

Practice, real-world examples, and hands-on learning are woven into our entire curriculum, with students getting the chance to practice their reading with each other and with volunteers from Jes’ online community.

From an ART Alum:

“WOW! The Advanced Reader Training has blown my mind. I knew it was going to be amazing, but once you really get under the hood of Human Design, the depth and beauty of this system reveals itself. Jes has created a container that is supportive and has the breadth and depth needed to truly transmit the wisdom of Human Design. Going through Human Design profile has got to be my favorite part so far, and I have to say that learning about the benefits and support of a 5th line creating a persona to manage the projection field...that insight alone has been worth the cost of the program!

I'm not exaggerating. Human Design to me is about empowering people to know, love and BE themselves. Who better to guide you through this process of KNOWING in a caring and supportive way, than Jes? It's clear that she loves what she does, has a deep understanding and takes seriously the impact that the beautiful insights can have on people. My life is changed by Human Design in a very positive way and I am honored I got to learn at an advanced level with the best in the biz! Thank you, Jes. ”

Inside The Advanced Reader Training Curriculum

ART is a 12-month, grounded, in-depth, supportive Human Design Reader Training program.

Here’s an overview of what we will be covering in our live meetings throughout the year-long training:

  • Learning how to synthesize themes in a chart will allow you to weave a story together for your client, and help them to hold all of the parts of their design–all the parts that make them who they are–even when some of them may feel dissonant.

We start this process early and add to it as we deep dive into each aspect of Human Design.

    • The Rave Mandala

    • Cosmology of Human Design (belief, meaning, and the origins)

    • Relationship Connection Themes

    • Introduction to the Planets

    • Introduction to Transits

    • Lunar Transit tracking for Reflectors

  • The hexagram is an often overlooked part of Human Design, but it’s vitally important. It is the DNA of Human Design - even though you likely only know its role in the context of Profile.

We go deep into each line, including how it shows up in real life and a writing exercise to help you take your knowledge much further than basic facts about each line.

  • What are the building blocks of a profile, and how do you use those building blocks to create a profile description in your voice, through your lens?

    • Conscious & Unconscious line placements

    • Transition between lines

    • Line Harmony, Resonance & Dissonance

    • Profile/Cross Angles (right, left, juxtaposition)

  • After we learn how to build profiles, we take an in-depth look at each profile, including emergent characteristics and challenges. Reflection prompts for each profile are available to use for yourself and with your clients.

    • How crosses are created

    • How to pull the major themes of a cross into a synthesis with other parts of the design, without memorizing all 192 crosses and getting lost in the details of IC.

    • The 4 quarters of the mandala

    • The angles

  • This information is included in the 64 Gates Program, which is a companion program to the Advanced Reader Training, and included in your ART enrollment.

    • How to bring the themes of the circuit groups into a reading

    • How to interpret gates and channels in the context of the circuit groups, circuits, and integration channels.

  • This information is included in the 64 Gates Program, which is a companion program to the Advanced Reader Training, and included in your ART enrollment.

Master the flow of energy in the chart by understanding where energy begins in the BodyGraph, and what path it takes as it makes its way to the throat center. This brings depth and context to the purpose of each gate and channel in the chart.

  • This information is included in the 64 Gates Program, which is a companion program to the Advanced Reader Training, and included in your ART enrollment.

A detailed view of gates & channels in their contexts -  centers, circuits, streams, channel types, and the rave mandala - over several months.

Viewing gates and channels this way enables you to effortlessly connect to the practical reason for the gate/channel activation in a chart: why it’s there, how to use it, and what it means in a client’s life.

We break them down in the following sections:

    • Format Channels

    • Awareness Streams

    • Power Column

    • Minor Circuits

    • Integration Channels

  • When there are multiple bridges in a client’s design learn how to spot the main pressure points / points of conditioning.

  • Support for structuring your readings

    • In class case studies

    • Guided practice readings

    • Support for discovering how your unique design influences how you show up in readings and/or how you prefer to engage with the Human Design system as a tool for supporting your clients and loved ones.

PLUS, additional resources to supplement your education, including:

DIGITAL FLASHCARDS: to help you memorize key concepts. Save them to your phone and revisit them when you have a spare 5 minutes, or if you're a tactile learner, you can print them out.

SELF-ASSESSMENT QUIZZES: lots of them! This allows you to test your knowledge in bite sized pieces, and anchor key concepts. This is especially supportive if you're nervous about discussing new information in a group setting. You can test your knowledge first, immediately know which sections to review, and enter your peer to peer discussions with confidence.

REFLECTION PROMPTS: to explore your Design and do your own inner work. These are also an incredibly useful resource to use as discussion points with your clients in a reading.

DETAILED WORKSHEETS AND OUTLINES TO HELP YOU STRUCTURE YOUR HUMAN DESIGN READINGS: so that no matter what chart is in front of you, and what stage of your learning you’re in, you’ll know how to structure the information in a way that flows for your client. (Plus the support and encouragement to experiment with your reading formats so you can find the format that will work best for you!)

ART is an intentionally intimate, community-oriented program designed to strengthen and enrich your understanding of Human Design to enhance the quality and depth of your readings.

And ultimately, joining ART is about developing a comprehensive understanding of the art and science of Human Design in order to be able to read between the lines, fill in the gaps of understanding, and present relevant and transformative information to each and every client.

Request a preview of the curriculum

From an ART Alum:

“I am so grateful to have found you and your reader training programs. I absolutely adore you, your style, your openness and kind nature. I had taken another Human Design course online and it left me with more questions than answers. When I took yours, it all just seemed to click and finally make sense. I love that you make even the complicated easier to understand without glossing over anything. Thank you!”

—Cassandra Long (she/her), 6/2 Projector

Most people who join ART are doing so because they feel the pull to deepen into mastery — to take what they already know and root it in context and lived practice.

If you’re sensing that your work is evolving, or that you’re ready to read BodyGraphs with more depth, structure, and confidence, ART offers a place to explore that calling more fully.

You already have a strong foundation.

ART gives you a container to deepen and refine that foundation into mastery through teaching, discussion, case studies, and real practice, so that your readings feel more coherent, intuitive, and grounded in the bigger themes of the BodyGraph.

Many people describe the shift as moving from “I know the pieces” to “I understand the story.” and from “I can identify gates” to “I can see how the whole design works together.”

If that’s the direction you’re heading, you’ll feel right at home here.

Inside of A.R.T., you will have direct access to the space, support, and expertise that you need to develop the Human Design reading skills you desire.

Community Guidelines and Agreements

Please read each section thoroughly before enrolling in this program. I welcome your questions or needs!

  • Our community space is not gendered (meaning we are not a group of only one gender) and I do not teach or support a gendered view of Human Design. We aim to be inclusive of trans and genderqueer people.

If you currently hold a biological view of gender (sex = gender) or a binary view of gender (there are two genders: man and woman) and you do not accept, honor, and celebrate that other people have a different experience of gender, then I am not able to be your Human Design teacher right now.

  • My work with Human Design is guided by values of personal and collective liberation, recognizing that none of us are untouched by supremacy culture.

I believe that as a white person, I have a responsibility to engage in the ongoing process of deconditioning internalized anti-Black racism.

If you do not share this belief, please do not join this program.

  • I believe we can still bring our whole selves to this program (and learn so much from each other!) by bringing our lessons learned while omitting any potentially traumatic details.

During our discussions, please do not share any details of your story that require a trigger warning. Instead, please find a general way to reference your experience.

For example, if sharing a reflection that involves loss, use general language like, "I experienced a significant loss." rather than sharing the details of the loss.

Sharing our life experiences and how these Human Design energies appear in real life, are important parts of our learning. However, this group is not structured in a way that provides resources for each person to process potentially triggering material.

Our group space is built on deep care and respect for all humans.

Black lives matter. Trans rights are human rights. Everything is political. Fat lives matter. Abortion is healthcare and should be easily accessible. Vaccines save lives. Free Palestine.

There is no room in my classroom for debating human rights.

I am often even more vocal about my values and politics in my group programs than I am on social media.

I believe we are our context—reflections of the environments we exist in.

We cannot separate ourselves from the context we exist in, and therefore our identities, values, and politics shape how we see the world and each other, including how we see and use Human Design.

I operate on the assumption that each person in the classroom cares about justice, liberation, and collective care.

If you have needs or concerns around any of what I’ve shared here, please reach out. I’d love to talk with you and explore if we’re a mutual fit for each other. I can understand that you might need a different Human Design teacher with a different lens for this season of your learning. There is never any pressure to join. I want this to feel like an authentic “yes” for you, and a really good fit.

Meet the Teaching Team

We’re here to guide you, hold space for you, and become your most valuable Human Design resources.

Alongside Jes, the Advanced Reader Training will be facilitated by several other Human Design experts who will teach during our live sessions, lead small group discussions, host learning activities, share their personal experiences and perspectives with you, and be available to answer your questions between sessions.

Each member of our Teaching Team has completed extensive training with Jes Fields and is able to share Human Design knowledge in a grounded and thoughtful way.

Cara Halber (she/her)

Lead Program Advisor, 2/4 Emotional Projector

Cara is an A.R.T. alum turned program advisor with over 14 years of coaching and 100+ readings rounding out her resume. In typical Projector fashion, Cara loves diving deep into the insights that Human Design provides people and pulling out the simplest and most realistic shifts that help her clients move efficiently toward their goals. Her ability to combine practical wisdom with soulful insights makes her an invaluable resource to our A.R.T. students.

Though Cara greatly values her own personal transformation through discovering and embracing her Human Design, she has never been more grateful for her knowledge and skills than with parenting two very busy, pure Manifesting Generators. When she has a moment to herself, you can find her immersed in a good book, spending time near the ocean, and savoring a great cup of (decaf) coffee.

How We Learn Together

Learning here (and in all of our reader training programs) is relational.

It’s co-created in the space between us, through the questions you ask, the insights you share, and the patterns you notice in your real life as we move through the curriculum.

Every person brings their own needs, perspectives, and lived Human Design experiments into the space, and that’s what makes the system come alive.

Of course, there will be plenty of me teaching with slides, but even more integration through discussion, case studies, learning activities, and Q&A. Your questions, your insights, and your reflections all become part of the learning. We learn through witnessing each other, reflecting back what we see, and holding the variety of designs in the group as a living classroom.

Something powerful happens when we learn in community. You start to see your own patterns right alongside everyone else’s, illuminating the material and deepening your understanding.

Learning here is also embodied.

We study the theory, yes, but every piece is punctuated with real-life practice. You’ll try it out, notice what happens, and bring those reflections back to the group.

This process of experience, reflection, and action is what turns Human Design from something abstract or informational into something you can truly understand energetically and can trust in your bones.

I’ve had the honor and privilege of teaching hundreds of clients (all with different designs!) over the past six years, and I can say with confidence that your best insights will come from your lived experience, and from connecting with peers and teachers who are living their Human Design experiment.

I hope you’ll end our time together having learned just as much from your peers as you did from me.

If you’re considering joining this (or any other of my programs), I invite you to reach out and connect with me about this relational format. What’s alive for you about the idea of learning in community? What are you drawn to? What makes you nervous? What needs or questions do you have for me? I’d love to hear from you!

After guiding hundreds of students through this work, I’ve seen how powerful it is to study in a community that values depth, nuance, and integrity.

Being a skilled reader isn’t about memorizing as many facts as possible. It’s about being yourself first and foremost :) and learning to truly understand a chart and interpret the unique definition in front of you, in your own way.

A.R.T. is the place where this kind of learning (about yourself and Human Design!) becomes possible.

Who This is For

The Advanced Reader Training is for anyone who is ready to deepen their Human Design practice, whether you offer readings professionally, support clients with other modalities, or simply want to understand the bodygraph with more nuance. Most participants are years-deep into Human Design and have a strong foundation in the basics.

  • If you’re a Human Design reader or coach, A.R.T. will help you move beyond memorized pieces and into the bigger picture—how different parts of the BodyGraph relate to each other, and how to prioritize what truly matters in a reading.

  • If you’ve ever felt overwhelmed by conflicting information, unsure how to weave the pieces of a chart together, or stuck at the “I know this gate… but what does it mean in the context of this BodyGraph?” phase, A.R.T. offers the structure, guidance, and support to connect the dots and see the bigger picture of the chart.

  • If you’re longing to work with Human Design on a deeper, more contextual level, this program will give you the tools, language, and lived practice to read charts with depth and confidence.

It is my highest priority to gather a group of people who will be a mutually supportive fit with each other.

I’m sure we will share many values and our love for Human Design, however, our daily lives and identities will (hopefully!) be wildly different.

Each cohort of ART typically has:

  • a few people who have been studying human design for many years (including anywhere from 2-5 ART alumni who are back to repeat the program)

  • a few people who have only been studying human design for a year or two

  • It is uncommon for us to have someone who is brand new to Human Design, though if this is you, and you’re drawn to this program, let’s have a conversation and see if we might be a fit.

  • several people who followed their authority to say yes to this program, with no plans to become a Human Design reader

  • a few people who have been giving Human Design readings for years and want to spiral around this material in a new setting, with new people, learning from a new perspective

I believe our differences in identity and circumstances only benefit our connection and support of each other.

If this resonates and you’d like to explore whether ART is the right fit for you, please reach out. I’d love to connect and talk through it together.

Learning and sharing Human Design can feel natural.

Yes, it’s a complex system, but the system itself is logical (it has a structure, and there are easeful ways to approach learning it.) Sharing your Human Design knowledge is a skill that can be learned and built over time, with the right support.

Here’s how one student described the confidence and self-trust she found inside the Advanced Reader Training:

    • Core classes take place on Zoom on Wednesdays, noon-1pm EST. Please plan to attend live most weeks.

    • Gate/Channel specific classes happen on Thursdays at noon EST. No need to attend live. Recordings are available.

Recordings are available, should you need to occasionally miss a class.

  • The average monthly time commitment is 10 hours.

We’ll spend 60 minutes together on the training calls (3x per month), an additional 3 hours monthly on gate/channel specific calls (or recordings), and we recommend that you spend an additional one hour per week to study and work through the learning resources in Teachable (quizzes, writing activities, and digital flashcards)

Practice readings (optional, but encouraged) begin the fourth month of the program and require an additional 1-3 hours per month for preparation, giving the reading, and debriefing in class.

  • Classes are 60 minutes, 3x per month.

Sessions will be a combination of teaching with slides, discussion, case studies, review activities, and Q&A.

Our live calls are an integral part of the Advanced Reader Training program, however, I encourage you to participate in a way that works for you.

Some days you might find a lot of support in following my agendas and curriculum, and other days you might want to join camera-off and just listen.

  • Yes! Our small group format hinges on everyone’s participation, AND life happens.

Recordings are available for the times that you need to miss.

You’re also always welcome to come to class and just listen without participating if you’re having a low-energy day.

Some of the material builds on itself, and my team is always available to help you “catch up” selectively if you miss several sessions.

  • Yes. You must have a solid understanding of type, strategy, and authority, and the nine centers.

There is time at the beginning of the program to solidify your understanding of the nine centers, and many clients over the years have enrolled in the Advanced Reader Training and our Nine Centers Mentorship program concurrently.

If you’d like to talk through where you are in your Human Design studies, and what the best path forward might be, please feel free to reach out anytime. There’s never any pressure to join one of our programs.

  • 100% YES!

Many students join A.R.T. already giving basic readings to clients, friends, and family. Others give their first readings within a few months of joining the program. And other students are enjoying their career with no intention of ever giving readings professionally.

Whatever you’re planning to do with your newfound expertise, A.R.T. gives you a whole new lens through which to view your world and your relationships.

We give you all the grace and space to be yourself, and choose how and when you want to apply your learning to your life and business. That being said, my 3rd line will always encourage you to try, play, experiment, and get into action as you’re learning. There’s a lot of support for practice readings, and applying your knowledge is an integral part of the A.R.T. learning process.

Human Design is a lifelong exploration. After A.R.T., you might want to deep dive into another layer of HD, and learn how to give return readings (solar returns, Saturn returns, etc.), advanced penta readings for business teams, or incarnation cross deep dive readings. While there is always more to explore with Human Design, A.R.T. takes you solidly to the bottom of the rabbit hole, and gives you a foundation to understand the logic of the Human Design system.

By the end of A.R.T., you’ll understand the energy flow and major themes of a BodyGraph so intimately that you’re able to look at a chart and know with certainty which parts to prioritize in a reading or coaching session to best support your client.

And beyond giving readings, the depth and integrity of knowledge you’ll have means creating transformative Human Design-related content is effortless. Products and services will come easily, and you feel confident putting your work out into the world.

The Advanced Reader Training program will help you master Human Design and step into a leadership role in the industry, alongside your fellow Human Design experts.

  • Our next cohort begins in February 2026, and meets on Wednesdays from noon-1pm EST.

Note: The 2026 cohort will be an intentionally small group with only 12 seats available.

If you’re interested in filling one of those spots, but want to chat beforehand please reach out to support@jesfields.com

Reserve Your Seat

If you’re feeling the pull toward deepening your Human Design knowledge in 2026, I invite you to reach out and say hello or share where you are in your process.

I’d love to help you navigate which program might be the best next step, and there is never any pressure. In fact, it’s not within my personal ethics to convince or pressure anyone into something.

I trust you to find your way. I’m here to connect, answer questions, and provide more information.

My highest priority is to create groups who are a good fit with each other and with me because the small group format is such a foundational part of our programs. It sets the stage for the depth of learning and mastery you'll experience in our time together.

Here’s how one student knew the Advanced Reader Training was her next step, as she trusted her Splenic Authority to guide the way:

At the heart of Human Design is the invitation to be yourself and to make decisions as yourself. The Advanced Reader Training is a space where you get to practice that.

Everything inside this program is an invitation.

You get to choose, over and over again, how you engage with our group.

Some days you may want to lean into my structure and let yourself be guided through the teaching and discussion. Other days, you may need to turn your camera off, join us from bed, skip the discussions and activities, or some other version of doing your own thing. Your way of engaging with this program will be unique to you, and I celebrate it.

I invite you to discover how you learn best in this season of your life, to trust your own rhythms, and to let your design guide the way you engage.

Your individuality, alongside the group’s collective rhythm, is what makes this space so potent and alive. I encourage you to share your needs and concerns with me. I’ll do my best to meet you right were you are.

We all win when you are yourself!

Sending you big love on the journey of becoming YOU!

~ Jes
