Reflectors
As a Reflector, you are open and receptive. You’re always sampling the energy of the people around you and the environments you’re in, and you’re designed to be a reflection of the world around you.
The nine undefined centers in your chart leave you open for deep wisdom, which you reflect back to the rest of us. You are a reflection (in mind, body, and spirit) of your environment, and you understand people on a deep level.
Reflectors are often referred to as a “non-energy type”, because all of your centers are undefined and you are powered by the people around you as you take in their energy and release it again. For that reason, it’s so important for you to protect your energy; to empty out the world every day and remove yourself from situations that don’t feel right.
Projectors
As a Projector, you are a natural guide. You are here to see others clearly, to take in their energy and amplify it back, and to lead the way when invited. You have a zoomed out view of the world that not everybody else has — you can often see the big picture, the whole picture, and provide direction from a more comprehensive place. You are the advice-giver, the deep conversationalist — and often, everyone’s life coach!
Projectors are often referred to as a “non-energy type”, because your Sacral Center (the home of life force energy and the fuel to work) is undefined. All that means is that you’re not here to do all the doing.
Instead, you’re here to deeply see and understand others, connecting with them, illuminating their inherent goodness, and guiding them when invited. In fact, knowing other people is often much easier than knowing yourself.
Manifestors
As a Manifestor, you are here to spark change in the world around you. You can act independently, initiate action, and impact others — and that is your superpower.
You are the creative genius, the innovator, the self-starter who initiates others into a new direction in life, and the one who doesn’t like to be told what to do. 🤪 When you’re truly living into your Manifestor aura, you may feel like you’re finally living for yourself.
You need the freedom to be in your creative flow, but you’re not necessarily designed to see every idea through to the end. You are the one that gets things started! You’re here to go at your own pace; to initiate and work in big bursts and then make space for deep rest and relaxation.
Manifesting Generators
As a Manifesting Generator, you are here to create and build according to what energizes you or “lights you up”. When spending time doing what you love, your energy ripples out into the world, uplifting others and energizing them. You are here to show the world a new way of doing things, to be nonlinear in your path, finding efficiencies and making changes as needed along the way.
As a Manifesting Generator, you are here to wait and magnetize opportunities to respond to so you can live a life of deep satisfaction. You’re also meant to redefine what work means and looks like, finding a way to marry work and pleasure.
Your process is often different from others: You can move quickly, be very action-oriented and multifaceted. You are meant to live life outside of the box, and it can take great courage to move through life according to what feels good and right to you, at whatever speed you need to.
Manifesting Generators are technically a subtype of the Generator type, so at times you’ll see only 4 Human Design types listed. Because MGs make up over 30% of the population, we find it helpful to distinguish between MGs and Generators.
Generators
As a Generator, are here to create and build sustainably according to what energizes you or “lights you up”. When spending time doing what you love, your energy ripples out into the world, uplifting others and energizing them. You are here to become a master at what you do, so it’s vitally important to dedicate the energy you have to things that feel good!
You have a warm and nurturing presence; it’s open and magnetic. And your radiance expands when you say “yes” to what excites you and “no” to what doesn’t.
As a Generator, you are here to wait for and magnetize opportunities to respond to — saying “yes” to what excites you and “no” to what doesn’t! — so you can live a life of deep satisfaction. You’re also meant to redefine what work means and looks like, finding a way to marry work and pleasure.
